The 2006 Quindals is 90% Garnacha with the balance Syrah and Carinena that spent 12 months in 50% new French oak. Medium ruby-colored, it displays an enticing nose of kirsch, black cherry, garrigue, Asian spices, and smoke reminiscent of a top Chateauneuf du Pape. On the palate it has superb volume, tons of spice, succulent fruit, a forward personality, and a lengthy, pure finish. This outstanding value over-delivers in a big way.
