The 2000 Pouilly-Fuisse Au Metertiere was harvested at the end of October because of the rains that blanketed the region in late September and early October. It offers a smoky, mineral-scented nose and a super-ripe, focused, and tangy personality. While it is outstanding, coating the palate with copious quantities of minerals and citrus fruits, this wine lacks the concentration and depth of Cordier's finest Metertieres.
