The Otis vineyard is best known for its textured, herbal Cabernets, but it makes a fine Chardonnay as well. The ‘99 is still lean and taut, with fresh fruit and a few rough edges to the new oak. Partly the vintage, and partly the vineyard, it needs considerably more cellar time than the Wyckoff.——P.G.(10/1/2001)—— 88
