The 2014 C?tes du Rh?ne les Vignes du Prieuré is made from 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah and the balance a mix of Mourvèdre and Carignan. Raised all in concrete tanks, it offers classic notes of kirsch, ground herbs-like berries and violets in a medium-bodied, straightforward, yet thoroughly enjoyable package. It’s a solid mid-week drinker to enjoy over the coming 2-3 years.

The 2012 Cotes du Rhone Les Vignes du Prieure is a classic, textbook effort that oozes pepper, sweet berry fruit, spice and exotic wood notes on both the nose and palate. A medium-bodied, nicely textured and balanced 2012, it’s straight-up delicious and easy-drinking. Enjoy it over the coming 3-4 years. Drink now-2018.
