This famous Tavel estate has turned out a lovely 2018 Lirac Blanc that sparkled during my blind tastings. A blend of 40% Grenache Blanc, 25% Bourboulenc, 16% Clairette, 12% Roussanne and 7% Viognier, it shows appealing hints of honeyed ripeness and pear, melon and tangerine notes on the nose. In the mouth, it's medium to full-bodied, plump and silky, with a gently briny finish that leaves the palate craving more.
