The blend is 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, yielding a concentrated, full-bodied effort that's ripe and delicious, with an attractive hint of licorice on the finish.

The 2008 Chateauneuf du Pape Vignoble de La Serriere is a straightforward, monochromatic wine with medium ruby color, some notes of roasted herbs and shallow, and on-dimensional flavors. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. No known American importer.
