The 1997 Sylvaner displays gorgeous aromas of dried honey, flowers, and smoke. This well-made, silky-textured, medium-bodied wine has excellent density. Its rich, glycerin-filled core reveals subtle mineral and gravel flavors. No one has ever accused me of being a fan of Sylvaners, but this is one I would gladly purchase! It is an excellent value.
