The 2006 Heras Cordon Reserva is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano aged for 26 months in new, mostly French oak. Opaque purple/black in color, it sports a nose of brier, underbrush, incense, and kinky wild black cherry and black raspberry fruit. Full-bodied and extracted on the palate, it has enough balance to blossom for another 1-2 years and should drink well through 2018. Importer: Tom George, Frontier Wines, Dover, NJ; tel. (973) 328-4500
