The pure Graciano 2014 Laderas de Inurrieta aged in new 50/50 French and American oak barrels for 14 months. The élevage seems to have marked the wine quite a lot, and the nose is dominated by spicy and smoky aromas, mostly sweet spices and a touch of cocoa. It's balsamic and with a medium-bodied palate. It ends with a faint bitterness. 4,900 bottles were filled in August 2016.

The 2010 Laderas de Inurrieta is pure Graciano, one of the local red grapes from the region, a variety that produces reds with lots of color, acidity and punch. The concentration and ripeness of the grapes (15% alcohol), seem to be able to counterbalance the 14 months in new oak, and the wine has less drying tannins than its sibling, the 2011 PV. It has some nice balsamic notes of thyme and rosemary, which provide for attractive aromatic and tasty flavors. One can only hope time will make the wood more integrated and the tannins resolved.
