The 2008 Pinot Noir Whole Cluster was a two barrel selection aged in oak for 11 months. It sports an already complex aromatic array of exotic spices, wood smoke, and an amalgam of red and black fruits. The 2007 Pinot Noir Whole Cluster was produced with 40% whole clusters and aged in 25% new oak. Medium ruby-colored, it exhibits an attractive perfume of smoke, spice box, cherry, and raspberry. This leads to a medium-bodied, elegant, substantial wine with good depth, ripe red fruit flavors, and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. It will evolve for 1-2 years and drink well from 2010 to 2017.
