The 2006 Eco-Pinot Noir is an unoaked cuvee, made from organically grown fruit, and is sulfite-free. Medium ruby-colored, the wine reveals black cherry and blueberry aromas. It comes onto the palate with a slight tartness but good flavors. The wine has modest length cut short by acidity in the finish. Amity Vineyards was founded in 1974 by Myron Redford who continues on as owner/winemaker. He eschews the use of new oak; all of his reds are aged in neutral oak and the whites in stainless steel.Tel: (503) 835-2362; www.amityvineyards.com.
