The 2009 Agharta White Label is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Mountain Terraces Vineyard. Today it is the angular contours and mountain character – especially in the tannin – that stand out most. There is good depth in the fruit, though, so it will be interesting to see the path the 2009 takes once it is bottled in February 2012. Dark fruit, sweet herbs, licorice and cool menthol notes add the final layers of nuance. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.
