Coming from a single vineyard of vines planted in 1996, the 2009 Chardonnay was fermented in French oak, 30% new, and aged in oak for 12 months with no malo-lactic. It gives notes of orange blossom and warm pear slices over a core of golden delicious apple, toast and almonds. Medium-bodied, crisp and with a good concentration of apple and stone fruit, it finishes with lingering notes of honeyed peaches. Drink it now through 2015. Chalkers Crossing does not currently have a USA importer.
