A sleeper of the vintage, Basile Tesseron (from the famed Cognac family who are also the proprietors of Lafon Rochet and Pontet Canet) runs this estate. The young Tesseron has turned out a beautiful wine in a relatively challenging vintage. Deep ruby/purple-hued with sweet creme de cassis and cherry notes intermixed with forest floor and underbrush, it is a classic Medoc. Possessing an alluring texture, sweet fruit, ripe tannin, and low acidity, it should be enjoyed over the next 7-8 years.
