Roasted red berries, smoked meat, spices and espresso on the slightly reduced, Chateauneuf du Pape-like nose. Sweet, dense and flamboyant, with musky, sweet flavors of black fruits, smoke and gunflint; with aeration, some exotic apricot and white plum notes emerged, no doubt from the viognier component. This has very good flavor intensity and inner-mouth energy. Finishes sweetly tannic and long, with a flinty element.
