From a small vineyard cropped at 35 hectoliters per hectare, this wine is made from 100% Merlot and came in at 15% natural alcohol. Sweet blueberry, mocha-infused black currant fruit imbued with a prominent dosage of both wood and tannin give this wine a somewhat reserved and backward feel. It is certainly not one of the more forward, sexy wines of Fronsac, but at the same time, it has potential. Forget it for another year or two and drink it over the next decade.
