The 2007 Finca Malaveina is composed of 50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, and 15% Garnacha aged for 18 months in new French oak. A glass-coating, opaque purple color, the nose offers a hint of olives, pencil lead, cigar box, and assorted black fruits. On the palate it has plenty of savory, spicy black fruit and earthy herb notes, more structure than the previous wines, and 3-4 years of aging potential. Drink this intriguing blend from 2013 to 2027.
