The 2003 St.-Peray Fleur de Crussol is the finest dry white St.-Peray that I have tasted. A 100% Marsanne cuvee aged 14 months in old barrels, it possesses superb minerality, lovely aromas of white peaches and flowers, medium to full body, terrific acidity, and a liqueur of stone-like character. It provides convincing evidence of what is potentially possible in St.-Peray with brilliant winemaking and good terroirs. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
