The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a fabulous vintage for this wine (which benefited from the inclusion of the grapes normally reserved for Soul Of A Lion), and this is a wine I returned to several times during this tasting. Offering up aromas of crushed cassis, smoky plums, cigar tobacco and rich soil, the wine is full-bodied, concentrated and multidimensional on the palate, with savory complexity and tension that lend it a distinctly Bordelais feel (think southern Pauillac/northern Saint-Julien). The finish is long and beautifully defined. If you can find it, don't hesitate.
