The 2005 Olmo’s Reward is a blend of 55% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet in color, it has a maturing nose of meat, leather and Indian spices over warm plums, earth, black olives and yeast extract. The evolved palate gives a good amount of spicy dried fruit flavor concentration with refreshing acid and a medium to firm level of chewy tannins, finishing long. Drink it now to 2015.
