The dark ruby-colored 2003 Almo’s Reward, a blend of 59% Cabernet Franc, 16% Merlot, 14% Malbec, and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose reveals fresh herbs, earth notes, mineral, clove, cinnamon, and red currants. Supple with ripe underlying tannin, the wine has a Saint-Emilion-like personality as well as several years of aging potential. Drink it from 2011 to 2021.
Frankland Estate is considered by many to be the leading estate from the Frankland River GI.
