The spectacular, beautifully balanced, saturated black purple-colored 1999 Shiraz Reserve shows a terrific nose of floral notes intermixed with melted tar, roasted herbs, black fruits, and smoke. The wine has wonderful sweetness because of the high level of glycerin in the attack, a seamless mid-palate and finish, with beautifully integrated alcohol, tannin, and acidity. It is layered, rich, not huge, but gorgeously proportioned and persuasive. Give it another 1-2 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 14-15 years.
