Drouhin's 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Village unwinds in the glass with a youthfully reserved nose of dark berry fruit, grilled meats, licorice and bergamot. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with tangy acids, a tight-knit core and powdery structuring tannins. This is a serious Gevrey that will demand and reward bottle age.
