Fashioned from 80-year old Syrah vines, and aged in both small barrels and demi-muids, the 2004 St.-Joseph Le Paradis St.-Pierre exhibits good ripeness along with sweet raspberry and black cherry fruit, a hint of crushed rocks, fine tannin, medium body, and impressive purity as well as elegance. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. A Patrick Lesec Selection, various American importers, including Stacole Fine Wines, Boca Raton, FL; tel. (561) 398-0029, Classic Wines, Boston, MA; tel.
