The 2007 Mazoyeres-Chambertin has a lucid, deep color. The nose is very fragrant, the dark berry fruit laced with hints of jasmine and Chinese tea, very well-defined and growing in stature in the glass. The palate is full in the mouth with soft, supple tannins. The acidity is nicely measured, although it still does not quite possess the tension of the 2011 when tasted alongside. But this is a generous, slightly spicey, generous Mazoyeres that should drink well for the next 8-10 years. Drink now-2022.
