The dark ruby/purple-colored 1999 Dolcetto d'Alba Priavino exhibits toasty new oak along with mocha, blackberry, cherry, and herb-like aromas. Enjoy this fruit-driven Dolcetto over the next 1-3 years. I generally do not like barrique-aged Dolcetto, but the subtle influence of oak works well with this cuvee.
