Voerzio's 1990 Dolcetto d'Alba-Privino is all that a Dolcetto should be. The big, fragrant nose of black fruits is followed by a ripe, unctuous, opulent wine bursting with fresh jammy fruit. The finish is long and well-balanced. It is one of the more gorgeous efforts in a terrific vintage for most Piedmontese red wines. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. It has been a number of years since I have tasted this producer's wines, but I was immensely impressed with his current offerings. Importer: Viva Vino Imports, Eddystone, PA.
