Guigal wasn’t sure whether he would declassify the cuvee that is still officially the 2004 Hermitage Ex-Voto. The wine has a dense ruby/purple color, peppery, cassis notes intermixed with some crushed rock, acacia flower, and spice. It is rich, medium to full-bodied, but I suspect Guigal is leaning toward blending it into the regular Hermitage prior to bottling.
