The 2004 Valderiz Tomas Esteban is sourced from a biodynamically farmed vineyard whose vines range in age from 80-100 years. It is aged for 20 months in French oak, 30% new. Purple/black in color, it offers an enthralling perfume of pain grille, mineral, violet, spice box, blueberry, and blackberry. Ripe, layered, and full-flavored, this smooth-textured wine is dense, packed, and very promising. Give it 3-5 years in the cellar and drink it through 2035.
