The 2007 Pinot Noir Winemakers’ Reserve has a languid nose that could do with more vigor and clarity. Plum and cranberry aromas persist, but there is some reduction. Clean palate, very smooth but it would benefit from more structure and poise towards the finish. I was not able to taste the full-range from this historic producer located outside Auckland. Some of their white 2008s were showing a little dilution but their reds continue to offer exceptional value for money.Importer: Select Fine Wine, Traverse City, MI; tel.
