The medium to dark ruby-colored 1993 Musigny offers exotic wood, spice, and dark berry scents. On the palate, it offers a silky-textured attack of cherries, blackberries, and toasty oak that leads to a solid tannic shell. The fruit is dense and powerful, yet so are the tannins. Only time will tell which will last the longest. My instinct would be to drink it, but others may want to gamble with further cellaring.
