While this is hardly a classic expression of the Syrah grape, it is a hedonistic, decadently flavored wine. The huge nose of sweet oak, bacon fat, and peppery cassis fruit may lack subtlety, but wow, does it soar from the glass. In the mouth, there is not a hard edge to be found in this creamy, voluptuously textured wine that is bursting with jammy fruit and complemented by lavish amounts of toasty oak.
