The estate’s 2004 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is ripe, sweet and layered in its dark fruit, spices, menthol and tobacco. Fruit, acidity and structure are all beautifully balanced, while the finish boasts tons of polish. This mid-weight, firm Brunello can be enjoyed today, but it will be even better in a few years’ time. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2022.
