Quinta Apolonia’s 2008 Verdejo saw 80% of the wine fermented in stainless steel and 20% barrel-fermented and aged in oak for 4 months. Medium straw-colored, it offers up aromas of mineral, buttered popcorn, baking spices, floral notes, and pit fruits. On the palate the wine is creamy textured, spicy, and intense with the oak nicely integrated. This pleasure-bent offering can be enjoyed over the next 3 years. It is an excellent value.
