The 2007 Verdejo was aged in French oak for nine months, something rarely done with this delicate grape variety. It gives up aromas of toast, melon, and spring flowers leading to a medium-bodied wine in which the oak is well-integrated. It seems to have imparted a creamy, smooth texture and there is surprising depth and richness with adequate acidity. Drink this tasty effort over the next two years.
