This shone out in a blind horizontal of Martinborough Pinot Noirs. An absorbing, slightly animally nose with cherry, damson and loganberry, developing a savoury scent with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, silky ripe tannins, crisp red-berried fruit. Just a lovely texture with great tension and poise. Good length. Feminine and absolutely beguiling. Outstanding. Drink now-2014. Tasted January 2008.
