Matured for 11 months in new oak, 70% French and 30% American, the 2008 Dolcetto-Lagrein has a very deep garnet-purple color with intense notes of warm black cherry and blackberry plus some menthol, earth, tar and tilled loam. Rich and full in the mouth, a good amount of acid and medium-firm fine tannins lend just enough support lingering right through the long finish. Drink it now to 2015+.
