A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc that spent 24 months in 75% new French oak, the 2012 L'Orage is reminiscent of a quality Pauillac with its lead pencil shavings, blackcurrants, tobacco leaf and spice-laced aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, elegant and seamless on the palate, with solid mid-palate depth and fine tannin, it needs 2-3 years in bottle and will drink well through 2027.
